NCC announced today that INEOS have submitted a report that proposes the start of seismic survey in its licensed areas within Nottinghamshire. This we have expected for some time. Surprisingly though, INEOS who have an interest in Tinker Lane/PEDL 200 also announce that they would wish to extend their area of survey to include some (or perhaps all?) of PEDL 200. The report certainly makes for interesting reading, a number of Nottinghamshires precious landmarks fall into that area of search and might therefore be considered at risk.
We also heard this week that INEOS is looking to military logistics company Arturius International to strong arm its seismic invasion and we might expect to see their berets from 5th June (or maybe a day later). In addition INEOS appear to have recently secured a lot of fracking gear and the odd rig or two from a bankrupt Polish Company an indication of INEOS’ intent to impose themselves in a big way across their licence areas and trampling across PEDL 200 in the process. One even wonders if IGas are willing participants in this venture?
