Over the last few days several people have mentioned that they were pleased that Bassetlaw District Council had turned down Dart’s Application for Tinker Lane 1. That certainly was a good piece of news but we should not get too complacent. BDC were acting in a capacity of Consultee to Nottinghamshire County Council (NCC). It is NCC who as the Minerals Planning Authority for Nottinghamshire now have to make a final decision on the Application drawing together the views of all Consultees.
BDC was a success for us all, but the fight to stop Dart goes on. We hope that NCC will take heed of the negative responses they have received, from BDC, Notts Wildlife Trust, Torworth Parish Council, Blyth Parish Council, Sutton Parish Council and a good few others. Including your very own objections of course. Round 1 to us, but the fight is likely to last a good few rounds yet and its certainly not over until we achieve a knock out.
